What we can and can't help with
We're happy to answer general questions about snake care, species identification from a description or photograph, and clarifications on articles we've published. However:
- We cannot diagnose sick or injured snakes. If your snake is unwell, consult a reptile veterinarian — a general-practice vet is often not qualified for reptile care.
- We do not provide advice on snake removal from your property. Contact a licensed local snake removal service or your regional wildlife authority.
- We do not treat snakebites. Any suspected venomous snakebite is a medical emergency. Call emergency services immediately.
